Select October Tour Dates Kick Off October 22nd in Philadelphia

The Kills have teamed up with Live Nation and Yahoo to live-stream their October 27, 2014 concert live from the Neptune Theater in Seattle, WA. Fans will also have the freedom to stream the concert wherever they are through Yahoo Screen on iOS, Android, mobile Web, desktop, and Smart TV platforms including Apple TV, Roku, and Xbox 360. The show is one of 365 concerts to stream over a 12-month period on the Live Nation Channel on Yahoo Screen including acts such as OneRepublic, Justin Timberlake, Panic! At The Disco, and more.

The Seattle show is part of the band’s select run of tour dates throughout October. Starting October 22nd, the band will play headlining shows in Philadelphia, Portland and a sold-out show in San Francisco culminating on Halloween in Los Angeles supporting Queens of the Stone Age.

Jamie and Alison will play a short set at The Open Road Aperture Foundation Benefit Party, Oct. 21 at Terminal 5 in New York, an evening of art and entertainment in tribute to Robert Frank, which also features an original performance by Alec Soth, Billy Bragg, and Joe Purdy. The band will also headline the Champion CMJ showcase on October 23rd at the Bowery Ballroom in New York.

In November, Jamie Hince will bring his celebrated photography exhibit entitled “Echo Home” to Los Angeles. Opening events will be held on November 1st at Bookmarc. A private reception will follow at Morrison Hotel Gallery located inside the Sunset Marquis Hotel where the images will be in display to the public and available for purchase. All proceeds from the event will benefit Rational Animal, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing public awareness to help at-risk animals. The “Echo Home” collection was unveiled in June 2014 at the flagship Morrison Hotel Gallery in New York.

The Kills most recent album Blood Pressures, was released in 2011 on Domino Records. The album saw Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart deliver their vivid and uniquely gritty post-blues, but with a new level of thoughtfulness and depth not yet explored by the duo. Tinged with wistfulness and vulnerability, Blood Pressures has an enduring sense of intricacy and richness that intensely blends with their ever-compelling songwriting.
