| MIAMI, Fla. (May 23, 2014) – KC and the Sunshine Band changed the face of music when they danced onto the scene over 40 years ago. KC’s (Harry Wayne Casey) unique fusion of R&B and funk, with a hint of a Latin percussion groove, has influenced countless artists from all genres.
A whole new generation of pop stars have discovered KC’s disco-defining sound, including Cuban-American actor and award-winning singer-songwriter Jencarlos Canela. The Hispanic pop star along with Korean hit-maker PSY collaborates with KC on “Give It Up Tonight,” a remake of KC’s classic “Give It Up.” The song can be heard on Canela’s new album ‘Jen,’ which dropped May 6. “I am excited and thrilled about the remake of “Give It Up” by Jencarlos Canela,” said KC. “I enjoyed working with Jencarlos; he was every professional and down-to-earth. He made the entire process go smoothly. PSY’s addition to the track adds another layer of energy and excitement to the song.”
