BOYCHOIR SOUNDTRACK, FEATURING SCORE BY BRIAN BYRNE, DUE FROM REPRISE RECORDS ON MARCH 3RD

Reprise recording artist Josh Groban co-wrote and performs “Mystery of Your Gift,” the end title track to the upcoming motion picture Boychoir. The song, labeled by Pete Hammond of Deadline as a potential “Best Song Oscar contender,” is now available for purchase from all digital retailers. The soundtrack to the film, featuring an original score composed by Golden Globe-nominated composer Brian Byrne (Albert Nobbs, In America) will be released by Reprise Records on March 3rd.  Boychoir, which was directed by François Girard (The Red Violin), opens in theaters in limited release this spring.

“From the moment I saw the first screening of Boychoir, I felt compelled to help write and sing the end song,” Groban says. “It was a joy to collaborate with François Girard and Brian Byrne on this very special film.”

Boychoir stars Dustin Hoffman, Kathy Bates, Eddie Izzard, Josh Lucas, Debra Winger, Kevin McHale and newcomer Garrett Wareing as Stet. The film follows Stet, a troubled and angry 11-year-old orphan from a small Texas town, who ends up at a boychoir boarding school after the death of his single mom. Completely out of his element, he finds himself in a battle of wills with a demanding Choir Master who recognizes a unique talent in this young boy as he pushes him to discover his creative heart and soul in music.
