Johnny Orr’s Inside Music Row Until Sunday
JOHNNY ORR Featured On INSIDE MUSIC ROW Now Through Sunday
JOHNNY ORR is featured on INSIDE MUSIC ROW now through Sunday in an episode that highlights three songs (“You Can’t Hide Love,” “We’ll Get By (The Autism Song)” and “Down South”) from his debut EP, DOWN SOUTH. The amped-up interview with Jennifer Vickery touches on Orr’s Southern childhood, the EP, singing in church and a family talent for improvisational impersonation (Daffy Duck, Larry the Cable Guy, Barney Fife, etc).
Sound interesting? It is. “I had a blast cuttin’ up with Jennifer,” notes the enigmatic Orr. “It probably comes across in the interview.” The popular program airs on ZUUS COUNTRY Thursday (7/24) at 7:00 p.m., Saturday (7/26) at 2 and 6 p.m. and again on Sunday (7/27) at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. CDT. Additional broadcast outlets include: Showcase Channel – UK, FamilyNet, AMG-TV Network, Rural TV, Blue Highways Television, Country99TV – New Zealand and Öppna Kanalen Växjö – Sweden. Total household reach is 100 MILLION. Fans can also view IMR Episode #1367 online at ZUUS.com.
Orr just wrapped the filming of his new video and is currently on a radio promotion tour that will carry him to stations in Kentucky and Virginia. His previous video, “We’ll Get By (The Autism Song)” continues to garner fans, raise funds for Autism awareness and has over 133,000 YouTube views.
Johnny is the talented tunesmith and lead vocalist for The Johnny Orr Band (JOB). Formed in 2007, the group has become known for their “rough and ready” Southern Rock/Country sound, and has opened for Kenny Chesney, the Zac Brown Band, Little Big Town, Gretchen Wilson, Parmalee, Cole Swindell, Tyler Farr, Jason Michael Carroll and more. “Down South,” the EP’s title track, marks the group’s first Country radio single, and this chart-active ode to Dixie is making a positive impression at radio and with relevant media. Recent coverage includes Young Country TV, Behind the Scene with Kenny Dean, America’s Country Connection, BILLBOARD.com, MusicRow, All Access and CMAWorld.com.
DOWN SOUTH is available on iTunes and will be released at retail later this fall. The “six pack” delivers original songs of “honesty and heart” and marks the revival of a true Southern art form. Produced by Orr, the project was engineered by Grammy winner Chad Carlson.
