“The enduring Rebel of Rock n’ Roll” – Wall Street Journal
“Even staring 80 years in the face, Lewis remains a defiantly ornery presence, and the stellar cast here – Neil Young, Robbie Robertson, Doyle Bramhall II – are kept firmly in harness to his still muscular vocals and strident barrelhouse piano.” – The Guardian
Jerry Lee Lewis’ new album Rock & Roll Time will be released on October 27th but today you can hear the full album exclusively via the Wall Street Journal accompanied by an excerpt of Lewis’ Q&A with writer Marc Myers.
To celebrate the release of the album and book, Mr. Lewis will be performing two shows in New York City at B.B. King’s Blues Club & Grill – Friday, October 24th & Thursday, October 30th. On Monday, October 27th, Jerry Lee Lewis will be sitting in with Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra on Late Night with David Letterman, and on October 29th, Mr. Lewis will be joining author Rick Bragg to talk about his new biography “Jerry Lee Lewis: His Own Story” at Barnes & Noble’s flagship store in Union Square.
Recently, Mr. Lewis performed to a sell-out crowd at the historic Ryman Auditorium in which the Nashville Scene stated, “For 50 minutes the Killer gave his all. Mere mortals age and decline, trapped in bodies of earthly frailty, but legends always stride tall.” A Memphis show at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts is scheduled for November 7th.
Rock & Roll Time has been Most Added at Americana radio the last two weeks.
