Ian Anderson, known throughout the world as the flute and voice behind the legendary Jethro Tull will be performing JETHRO TULL, The Rock Opera at the King’s Theatre in Brooklyn, NY on November 6 at 8 pm.
The Kings Theatre is at 1027 Flatbush Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11226.

Celebrating the life and times of the English agricultural inventor, the concerts tell the story of the original Jethro Tull’s life, reimagined as if in the near future and illustrated with Anderson’s best-known songs from the rock band Jethro Tull repertoire. The performance is in a quasi-operatic structure with virtual guests on video and some additional newly-written songs to round off the elements of the story.
Heavy Horses, Farm On The Freeway, Songs From The Wood sit alongside Aqualung, Living In The Past, Wind-Up, A New Day Yesterday, The Witch’s Promise, Locomotive Breath and other favorites – often with slightly re-written lyrics to better tell the tale.
Accompanied by David Goodier (bass), John O’Hara (keyboards), Florian Opahle (guitar), Scott Hammond (drums) and surprise virtual guests, Ian Anderson’s tour schedule also includes the UK followed by Russian, European and South American dates before the end of the year.
Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull have released 30 studio and live albums, selling more than 60 million copies since the band first performed at London’s Marquee Club in February 1968.
After undertaking more than 3000 concerts in 40 countries throughout four decades, Anderson has typically played 100-plus concerts each year to longstanding, as well as new fans worldwide. Widely recognized as the man who introduced the flute to rock music, Ian Anderson remains the crowned exponent of the popular and rock genres of flute playing. Ian also plays ethnic flutes and whistles together with acoustic guitar and the mandolin family of instruments, providing the acoustic textures which has been an integral part of most of the Tull repertoire.
