High Maintenance Returns On Vimeo On Demand November 11th

VIMEO ORIGINAL SERIES HIGH MAINTENANCE TO PREMIERE NOVEMBER 11TH

Acclaimed Series Set to Return with New Episodes Running on Vimeo On Demand

Vimeo announced today that it’s set to premiere a new round of episodes of married couple Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair’s heralded series High Maintenance on November 11th, 2014. Three new episodes will be available on the 11th, followed by another set of three in early 2015.

The series marks Vimeo’s first foray into original programming with the six episodes launching exclusively on Vimeo On Demand. High Maintenance previously released thirteen episodes, to the acclaim of The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Guardian, The New York Observer and Entertainment Weekly, among others.

Emmy Award-winning casting director Blichfeld (30 Rock), actor and editor Sinclair (Delocated, 30 Rock, The Big C, and the forthcoming film, The Nest) and manager Russell Gregory at Regarding Entertainment first debuted High Maintenance on Vimeo in late 2012. The series follows a nameless cannabis dealer (Sinclair) as he delivers his product to clients with neuroses as diverse as the city they live in.

High Maintenance has been described as “sly” and “genre-busting” by the LA Review of Books, while Emily Nussbaum of The New Yorker calls it a “shoebox that opens into Narnia” full of “meditative, dreamy invasions into the lives of creative-class New Yorkers, with smart dialogue, seams of compassion, and an O. Henry air of surprise.” This “must-watch” series’ rotating cast of characters has included Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens and comedian Hannibal Buress (Broad City).

A collaboration in every sense of the word, Blichfeld and Sinclair write, direct, and edit every episode. Taking the new medium of the “webseries” to different heights, the two make every episode as long as it needs to be, with Vimeo providing them with the freedom to both experiment and perfect their special brand of short-form storytelling.

The previous thirteen episodes are available for free at HighMaintenance.tv.
