Mike Ragogna: What advice do you have for new artists?

Herb Alpert: Well, you have to be passionate about what you’re doing, you have to be prepared, and luck plays a big part in it, obviously. But if you’re prepared for what you’d like to do with the rest of your life and you’re putting in the time and are passionate about what you’re doing, you have to just stay with it. There’s no magic formula for how to get through the maze.
