HANDSOME GHOST DEBUTS FIRST TRACK “BLOOD STUTTER”

HANDSOME GHOST officially premiered their first track “Blood Stutter” online today. Check it out here. Wild Honey Pie raved, “Handsome Ghost fits right into our sweet spot…(“Blood Stutter”) dips and weaves, consistently held afloat by captivating and sparking vocals.”

On March 10^th, HANDSOME GHOST will release their debut EP, STEPS [Photo Finish/Republic Records] and the six-song collection will be available on all digital retailers. Prior to release, Spotify will exclusively stream title track “Steps” on March 3^rd.

Since its June release, a demo version of “Blood Stutter” has received almost 7 million Spotify streams and attracted attention from the likes of USA Today who dubbed it, “buzzy,” and declared “No reason to fear this specter.” Heralded as an engaging and enigmatic new musical presence, the indie/alt group, lead by Massachusetts native Tim Noyes, signed with Photo Finish and began work on the Steps EP. 

Instead of starting from scratch, the group took their demos – recorded in rural Vermont – to Los Angeles where they tapped the production talents of Matt Squire (Ariana Grande, Youngblood Hawke and more). The stark contrast conjures a fascinating crossroads between all-encompassing soundscapes, acoustic instruments, remarkably rapturous R&B beats, and Noyes’ defenseless delivery. What tied together these sessions was a single rule-no electric guitar.

In addition, HANDSOME GHOST is preparing to hit the road supporting MisterWives on their “Our Own House” tour. They are joining already confirmed opening indie group BØRNS. It begins on February 26 at Union Transfer in Philadelphia, PA and wraps April 10 with a sold out show in DC at U Street Music Hall.
