Philadelphia’s Good Old War announce their first US tour dates in two years. The band is excited to also share the news that drummer Tim Arnold will re-join them for the run, having left Good Old War late last year after re-locating to Atlanta for the birth of his first child. The dates kick-off at Rough Trade in Brooklyn on March 30th and has Good Old War playing intimate venues throughout the Northeast and Midwest where they’ll be doing a set filled with fan favorites as well as some songs from their forthcoming full-length album due out this summer on Nettwerk.
The spring tour news comes less than two months after Good Old War announced that they signed to Nettwerk and were hard at work in Nashville on their fourth album. The new album is the follow up to their March 2012 full-length release Come Back As Rain which debuted at #1 on Billboard‘s Heatseekers chart and earned the band their late night TV debut on Conan in April 2012. Good Old War went on to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in August and toured nearly non-stop that year both headlining and supporting (Counting Crows, Dispatch and NEEDTOBREATHE). In addition, they found themselves playing the main stage at the Xponential Music Festival in Philly that summer alongside Wilco, Dr. Dog and The Lumineers.
Good Old War is thrilled to get back out on the road this spring to introduce some of their new material live and play cuts from their catalog that are sure to be crowd pleasers. Confirmed dates below and look for more Good Old War news in the near future.
