Gene Hoglan and Jason McMaster recently collaborate lyrics on 2 tracks for the new Evil United release “Honored By Fire”. Gene Hoglan is famous for his technical drum playing . He is best known for his work with acts Dark Angel, Death, Strapping Young Lad, Devin Townsend, Fear Factory, Opeth, Unearth, and most recently Dethklok and Testament but also penned most of the lyrics for Dark Angel’s albums Darkness Descends, Leave Scars and Time Does Not Heal.

On working with Evil United, Gene says: “I’m happy to have helped out my good friend Jason and Evil United, by writing a few lyrics for their new album. Check out the tracks “Tombspawn” and “Ghost Crushed”, as well as the rest of the metallic cuts on their latest, ‘Honored By Fire’. Jason has been a great friend for many a year, and when he hit me up, I was more than happy to do it! I wish Jason and the guys all the best with their new release.”

Evil United has announced that they will be releasing their eagerly anticipated sophomore full length studio album “Honored By Fire” on August 12th worldwide. The album will be distributed in North America and Europe through MVD Entertainment Group. A recent message from the band reads as follows:

“Our second release brings us closer to were we want to be as a band. The production is heavier than our debut album but still keeps the original vibe of the band intact.”
