FUTURISTIC TO RELEASE TRAVELING LOCAL ALBUM ON JUNE 9TH

May 13th, 2014 – Illinois raised, Arizona based artist Futuristic is set to release his album Traveling Local on June 9. The new album follows his last release Chasing Down A Dream that debuted on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart. Fans pre-ordering the new release will receive an instant download of album songs ‘In The Zone,’ ‘I Guess, I’ll Smoke’ and ‘Dirty Chucks.’
In preparation of the album he debuted a music video to his song ‘In The Zone’ today. The JD Films directed music video shows Futuristic on a rescue mission in an industrial warzone delivering a rapid-fire rap alongside song guests Devvon Terrell, J. Rob The Chief and Collins singing the chorus.
“I’m beyond excited for my album Traveling Local, exclaims Futuristic. “It really tells my story over this past year & an entire life dedicated to music.”
He adds, “‘In The Zone’ is just one of the fun tracks for my state! I’ve never made a theme song for Arizona. So this is it!”
Futuristic has released two music videos from Traveling Local. The album’s debut video, ‘I Guess, I’ll Smoke’ that features Dizzy Wright, Layzie Bone and a special guest appearance from BReal has racked up over 700,000 YouTube views to date. The follow-up, ‘Dirty Chucks,’ is Futuristic’s fashion statement that has him rapping about his preferred footwear while viewers catch a glimpse of his high-energy performances from the last tour.
Futuristic uses humor and real life experiences in his music. His independent movement WTF (We’re The Future) brings fans together with a positive message of “Dream Big,” the title to his debut mixtape. Since then, he’s amassed over 1 million streams via YouTube. In 2013, Furturistic joined XXL Freshman artist Dizzy Wright on The Golden Age Tour and followed with his own solo run that hit over 30 cities across the Mid-West and West Coast. Futuristic has played shows with Dizzy Wright, Wiz Khalifa, Tech N9ne, Mac Miller, Hopsin, MGK, Kid Ink and more.
