ROCKERS’ ARMY OF REJECTS STREET TEAM WILL RAISE AWARENESS AND EMPOWER STUDENTS

FLINTFACE, aka Joe Scorsone, will launch a national contest at over 4,000 middle-schools and high-schools in the U.S. the goal of which will be to raise awareness for bullying prevention. Students will be encouraged to submit original works of art that incorporate FLINTFACE’s message of hope and inspiration that speak to the troubling issue of teen bullying.

The contest will launch on September 22 and run through mid-November, the first place student and their school, plus two runners up, will win prize packs of Sony Electronics products, with the winning school also winning a private concert from the artist.

FLINTFACE aka Joe Scorsone is gearing up to embark on another trek of dates on The Hope Tour, in support of his recently released album HOPE, produced by Ross Hogarth (Van Halen, Ziggy Marley, Sick Puppies) on Tell The Rest Records with distribution via Creative Entertainment Network/RED.

In conjunction with Dispatch School Marketing and to show his support of National Bullying Prevention Month in October FLINTFACE will be stopping by select middle and high schools and playing free shows for the students and faculty.

“It’s about finding hope when hope is very hard to find. There’s always that tiny glimmer in the darkness. I just want to be a guy who tries to speak the truth and hopefully helps to empower others.” –explains Scorsone

FLINTFACE’s background can be traced to the streets of West Philadelphia, where, as the son of a minister, he was involved from a very young age in giving back to the local community. At the same time, sadly, he was a victim of abuse and bullying that set his formative years on a dark course of insecurity and depression. As an escape, he found solace in the healing powers of music.

HOPE delivers the instantly infectious “Army of Rejects,” a song that’s message is ones beauty is in their uniqueness and everybody is exceptional in their own way. “I want to build a community of people that carry each other. That’s the Army of Rejects in my mind. It’s about embracing who you are as an individual and being okay with it.” Says FLINTFACE
