Faded Paper Figures Tour In Support Of Relics

FADED PAPER FIGURES ANNOUNCE RARE TOUR RUN + CMJ
RELICS OUT NOW ON SHORTHAND RECORDS

Electro-synth trio Faded Paper Figures released their fourth studio album, Relics, last month via Shorthand Records and the work has received accolades from Paste, BULLETT, Clash, Wonderland and The Music Ninja, to name a few. Faded Paper Figures seems to have fully mastered not only their signature sound (electronic beats, gorgeous guitar riffs, and beautiful harmonies), but also accelerated full force into a brave new world of sitars, analog synths, and intense vocals. UNCUT recently said the album, “Perfects their brand of ‘why-the long-face’ boy-girl electropop. Essentially, The Shins if they had loved New Order rather than than The Cure.”

The day jobs of this bi-coastal group aren’t exactly your usual musician side-gigs: Heather Alden (keys /vocals) is a doctor in residency, John Williams (vocals/guitar) is a full-time professor of English at Yale, and Kael Alden (guitar/drums/keys/machines) writes music for a production company in Los Angeles where his music appears in films, TV shows, video games and ads. Ok, that last one makes sense but you know what I’m saying.

Due to this situation, the band rarely tours but have a limited run of shows coming up on both coasts around their upcoming appearance at CMJ 2014.
