“It’s all about hope, forgiveness, being given a new chance and the world being your oyster.” –Andy Bell

ERASURE will officially release their new single “Reason” on November 24. The heartfelt anthem backed with a pulsating dance beat marks the second single off ERASURE’s new album THE VIOLET FLAME. It was produced by Richard X, released Sept 23 via Mute and debuted at #2 on the Billboard Electronic Chart. “Reason” will be released with an exclusive b-side, “Die 4 Love,” plus remixes from Parralox, JRMX, GRN as well as Jochen Simms and Carter Tutti.

From the moment THE VIOLET FLAME opens, the listener is drawn into ERASURE’s empowering sense of optimism. After 30 years of songwriting, over 25 million albums sold and 40 hit singles achieved, the new album marks another stunning success for the globally-adored duo ANDY BELL and VINCE CLARKE. The emotionally-charged electro-pop and euphoric, synth-fueled melodies of THE VOILET FLAME strike instantly to the heart.

“It’s one of our most exhilarating records that we’ve done since The Innocents,” explains ANDY BELL. “If albums could have notes, it’s very high. I think it’s the thrill of where I am in my life; things are so settled now and I just feel like there are brand new horizons.”

Recorded in New York and London and produced by Richard X, THE VIOLET FLAME sees ERASURE harness an infectious zest for the future. The album’s creation–so soon after the release of 2013’s Snow Globe–followed a different path from previous ERASURE releases. As ever, the songwriting was entirely collaborative, but this time, the warmth of Miami gave a perfect backdrop for this danceable pop feast.

THE VIOLET FLAME will be available in both standard and a limited 2CD edition, which features ERASURE’s legendary live performance at Mute’s Short Circuit festival in 2011.

“The Violet Flame Tour” headlining trek is underway now, with special shows throughout the U.S. including Las Vegas on Halloween and New York City on New Year’s Eve (full details below).
