Emerson Hart’s “Hurricane” Debuts
EMERSON HART PREMIERES VIDEO FOR “HURRICANE” AT CBSNEWS.COM
Exclusive Acoustic Performance of “Hurricane” at People.com‘s Music Lounge
NASHVILLE, TENN. – Emerson Hart, lead singer for the multi-platinum selling group Tonic, premieres the video for the new single “Hurricane” on CBSNews.com.
Designed and animated by Amelia Garretson-Pearsans, Emerson admits, “I love stop-animation… it looks very dramatic and old.” That visual drama enhances the songs message. “It’s about a rebirth of a relationship,” says Emerson. “’Hold on ‘til it’s past/ ‘Cause sometimes a storm’s a second chance’ – that’s really what the song is about.”
“Hurricane” is the second single from his sophomore solo album Beauty In Disrepair (out 4/15 on BMG). Emerson performed an exclusive acoustic rendition of the track for People.com’s Music Lounge earlier this month.
Produced by David Hodges (Kelly Clarkson, Christina Perri, Carrie Underwood), Beauty In Disrepair is an intimate collection of songs about loss, rebirth, newfound love and family, ”born out of stuff I don’t want anyone else to say.”
In January, the album’s first single “The Best That I Can Give,” premiered on USAToday.com.
Direct Current Music called it “an unashamedly commercial slice of mainstream goodness, a sweeping melody that ramps up the sing-a-long anthem-meter to eleven.”
Emerson will perform solo and dates with Tonic this summer.
