Digitalism – the Hamburg duo Jens “Jence” Moelle and Ismail “Isi” Tufekci – are thrilled to announce a spring US DJ Tour in support of the Second Chance EP. The new EP is out March 16, 2015 on Toolroom and today they released the “Second Chance” single and Funkagenda remix, which can be purchased here. The short stateside trek has Digitalism visiting a handful of major cities where they will be sharing these new edits with stateside fans.
“Second Chance” is the band’s latest single and follow up to the radio anthem “Wolves ft. Youngblood Hawke.” The new EP features extended and radio edits of “Second Chance,” as well as remixes by CaPa, Traumer, David Vrong, and Funkagenda. These tracks have been extremely well received with SPIN premiering the single first and noting that “…the track delivers a high-energy, party-ready sensory attack that’s firmly fastened to a throbbing dance melody” and Entertainment Weekly recently premiering the Funkagenda remix with, “The remix by L.A.’s Funkagenda blows the song’s pop hooks out with a dense four-on-the-floor throb that could possibly make Las Vegas spontaneously combust.”
Digitalism is excited for the forthcoming DJ dates, which is the duo’s second visit to North America in the past six months. The short trek follows their fall live tour that had them recording a session with KCRW’s highly regarded Morning Becomes Eclectic. Again the Second Chance EP is available via all DSPs on March 16th, today fans are able to purchase the “Second Chance” single and Funkagenda remix and on February 17th, the entire EP was available exclusively via Beatport. |
