Devan Dubois’ Le Fou Coming August 19th
DEVAN DUBOIS’ DEBUT ALBUM LE FOU OUT AUGUST 19 ON SENSIBILITY MUSIC
“LONG LIVE” MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERES AT NYLON GUYS
The debut album from Devan DuBois, Le Fou, will be released next Tuesday, August 19 on Sensibility Music. Already receiving notice, Nylon Guys recently premiered DuBois’ music video for “Long Live” praising, “His name might be new to you, but his tunes have been long in the works…His southern roots shine through as his folky guitar rhythms are accompanied by some hip-hop drums—two styles we love and go perfectly together.” Additionally, Pigeons & Places asserts, “Rife with flowery and mysterious black-and-white imagery, the clip offers a grand, cinematic take on classic blues sounds,” while Nicky Digital describes “…chock full of snakes, smoke bombs, live MPC beat making, violins and a chorus that’s already stuck in our head.”
Produced and recorded by Jeff Sojka in L.A., Le Fou features fifteen tracks, including “Too Many Aces,” which was featured in a Kettle One ad campaign earlier this year. Myspace also recently selected DuBois as an “Artist of the Day” declaring, “This rockers’ slick guitar grooves and country-twanged howls show a young man cooking up soul food for blues fanatics. Get to know the man punching in the most promising romps of the year.”
Tour dates will be announced shortly.
