Mike Ragogna: And thoroughly overwhelming, but in a good way. Now, you’re still kind of a new artist, but I think you’ll have some good insight into this. What advice do you have for new artists?
Daphne Willis: Well, I think I am a new artist (laughs). I guess this is my second album, so technically, I’m not a new artist. I certainly do feel as though I’m still getting my feet wet, so to speak. I guess I would say that being on the road is an important part of making music. Being there, physically present with the people that you’re impacting with your music is so important, and that’s probably one of my favorite parts about it–just being on the road. I think you just have to be open to traveling, connecting with your fans, and connecting with people on a deeper level than just a handshake or something. That’s probably the biggest thing for me, just connecting with people.
