Cross My Heart Hope To Die’s “Tears Of Gos” Debuts
Following the release of Cross My Heart Hope To Die’s lead single “Two Shots” comes the second single “Tears of God” off their forthcoming second EP, Vita E Morte, out July 29 on Alpha Pup Records. Seeping in with hauntingly sensual vocals, dynamic guitars and captivating melodic production by Cypress HIll’s DJ Muggs, “Tears of God” continues Cross My Heart Hope To Die’s bustling and cinematic art-meets-music project.
An ambitious collection of seasoned musicians Cross My Heart Hope to Die is the eclectic multimedia project of legendary Cypress Hill founder DJ Muggs, producer Andrew Kline, vocalist Brevi (Wiz Kahlifa, 50 Cent, Raekwan), and artistic curator Sean Bonner. “This isn’t just a record, it’s a piece of a soundtrack of a larger art project” – Sean Boner.
Muggs and Kline, though from different musical backgrounds, share a love of a dark, cinematic music and the fusion of their talents creates something you would not expect. This sound is complemented by the ethereal songstress, Brevi, who elevates the tracks with her chilling and sultry vocals. The final piece to the puzzle is supplied by the visionary, Sean Bonner, who spearheads the artistic aspects of the project.
Cross My Heart Hope To Die wants to manipulate the way people find music; to bring back the thrill of discovery. Something sorely needed in a digital age where we are constantly bombarded with aural stimulation. The overall idea of the Cross My Heart Hope To Die project plays with the barriers between art and music, musician and audience, and encourages those boundaries to be shifted from one to the other. The interactive side of this collective has been manifesting itself on the streets for close to two years. Unsuspecting pedestrians around the world have been enjoying and participating in this project – sometimes without even knowing it. Inconspicuous art installations and street music boxes have been hidden in such cities as Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo, Rome, Belfast, Prague, and Vienna.
“Vita E Morte” EP on July 29th via Alpha Pup Records for physical and digital download.
