The world has wholeheartedly embraced the empowering message at the heart of COLBIE CAILLAT’s brand new music video for “Try”. The brave and bold clip debuted on Yahoo! Music and VEVO last week, and it has already accumulated well over eight million views and counting.

The Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum songstress talked to Elle.com in an exclusive feature about the music video last week, and the interview has since received a staggering 550,000-plus shares. Read it here!

In addition, the music video skyrocketed to #1 on iTunes Top Music Videos Chart, and it trended on both Yahoo! and Facebook. It’s also drawn widespread acclaim and attention from the likes of Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, The Insider, E! Appearing sans makeup, COLBIE challenged the status quo and a myriad of industry conventions, encouraging women everywhere of all ages to be confident in their natural state without makeup and exhibit an infectious sense of self. “Try” is available on her new EP, Gypsy Heart Side A [Republic Records], and it serves as the foundation for her forthcoming fourth studio album, Gypsy Heart—available this fall. It’s been a scorching summer for CAILLAT. After dropping Gypsy Heart Side A as a “surprise”, the EP landed at #1 on iTunes Top Pop Albums chart, while clinching the #5 spot on the Overall Top Albums chart. Within only 24 hours, all five of the EP’s songs had also charted on iTunes Top Pop Songs chart as well. Gypsy Heart Side A comprises five songs from Caillat’s forthcoming fourth full-length studio album Gypsy Heart due out later this year. The EP sees Caillat join forces with GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter and legendary producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, longtime friend Jason Reeves, David Hodges [Christina Perri, Avril Lavigne], and more. Among the EP’s tracks are “Blaze”, which burns with a spirited bounce and invigorating hook, and the heartfelt breakup song “If You Love Me Let Me Go.”
