Chromeo Flies With New Airline

CHROMEO BECOME PARTNERS IN NEW AIRLINE

MONTREAL DUO ARE NOW MAJOR EQUITY HOLDERS AND SPOKESPERSONS FOR NEW CANADIAN AIRLINE MALLARD AIR

New York, June 17th, 2014 – Chromeo members Dave 1 and P-Thugg have announced their partnership with Canadian airline Mallard Air as prime equity holders in the company. The newcomer airline already boasts 10 hubs in the Midwest and an additional 3 in the Canadian Prairies, serving as a budget-conscious alternative for the upwardly mobile American traveler. Upon Chromeo’s request, Mallard Air is also slated to offer boutique service to MontrealMinneapolis and Beirut in its newly acquired Airbus A3xx series fleet. This marks the band’s first step into the travel industry, a momentous addition to their established music career.

“When Mallard approached us about share acquisition, we thought it was a joke,” said Chromeo frontman Dave 1. “But when we got to know the people behind the airline, a creative and dynamic group of engineers and venture capitalists, this partnership made total sense. Besides, our business managers always encouraged us to diversify our investments. For a band like us, this feels bold and new.”

“We spend our life on airplanes,” added Chromeo’s P-Thugg. “And there’s always something wrong: from the uniforms to the business class menu, to the way they handle oversize baggage. Our association with Mallard will give us the opportunity to change that and to offer a travel experience the way we see it.”

Chromeo is currently on tour across Europe and North America in support of their fourth studio album White Women fresh off a show-stealing performance at Bonnaroo, with upcoming appearances at Electric Daisy CarnivalGlastonburyLollapaloozaAustin City Limits and many others. White Women is on sale now via Big Beat / Atlantic and features the summer hits ‘Jealous (I Ain’t With It)‘ and ‘Come Alive (feat. Toro y Moi)’.
