Atlantic recording artist Christina Perri has announced an array of activity surrounding the release of her eagerly awaited new album. “HEAD OR HEART” – which features the hit single, “Human” – arrives at long last on April 1st.

Perri will herald the imminent arrival of “HEAD OR HEART” with this week’s release of a brand new album track. “Burning Gold” premiered exclusively via the SHAZAM app and can be heard here:http://youtu.be/AluJQ0QFSHg. Furthermore, an additional album track, titled “I Dont Wanna Break,” was heard in a recent episode of HBO’s smash comedy series, Girls, and is featured on Atlantic’s recent released musical companion, “GIRLS VOLUME 2: ALL ADVENTUROUS WOMEN DO… MUSIC FROM THE HBO® ORIGINAL SERIES.”

Meanwhile, “Human” is quickly shaping up as a huge hit currently coming in among the Top 20 at Hot AC radio outlets nationwide.  A Top 20 favorite on the iTunes Store, the single was recently hailed by Billboard as a “delicate alt-pop ballad that should delight supporters of (Perri’s) breakthrough single ‘Jar of Hearts.’” In addition, the “Human” companion video – directed by Elliott Sellers (Jason Mraz, Young The Giant, Portugal. The Man) – is lighting it up online, earning close to 150,000 views per day at Perri’s official YouTube channelwww.youtube.com/user/lovemspenny.  Furthermore the Passion Pit remix of “Human” recently premiered via Stereogum http://www.stereogum.com/1668314/the-week-in-pop-aloe-blacc/franchises/the-week-in-pop/.  The entire “Human” remix package featuring mixes from the Passion Pit as well as EDX, Tracy Young and Roul and Doors will be available via Beatport on March 17th and all DSPs March 18th.

What’s more, Perri has slated a number of high profile TV appearances for the coming weeks, including visits to ABC’s The View on April 16th and CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman on April 21st (check local listings).

Perri will celebrate the long awaited arrival of “HEAD OR HEART” with a highly anticipated North American headline tour. The dates get underway Friday, April 4th at Denver’s Ogden Theatre and then continue through late May (see attached itinerary). Atlantic labelmate Birdy will join Christina as the opening act on the tour. Much of the trek is already long sold out, including shows in New York City, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Washington, DC, with limited tickets remaining for most other dates. For complete details and ticket availability, please visit www.christinaperri.com/tour.

“HEAD OR HEART” – which follows the acclaimed singer/songwriter’s breakthrough 2011 debut, “lovestrong” – was recorded last year with production from Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, One Direction), Martin Johnson (Avril Lavigne, Gavin Degraw), John Hill (P!nk, Mayer Hawthorne, Santigold), and Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco). The majority of the album was mixed by GRAMMY® Award-winning engineer Manny Marroquin (Kanye West, John Legend, Alicia Keys).

Named as iTunes’ “Breakthrough Pop Artist of 2011,” Perri earned critical applause and an increasingly fervent fan following with her extraordinary debut, “lovestrong.” Highlighted by the 3x-platinum certified smash, “Jar of Hearts,” the album – produced by GRAMMY®-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, My Morning Jacket) – entered the SoundScan/Billboard 200 among the top 5 upon its initial release, while also proving an unqualified international sensation with top 5 success in Australia and Ireland as well as top 10 sales in Canada and the United Kingdom.

Perri followed “lovestrong.” with the RIAA  4x-platinum certified hit single, “A Thousand Years,” exclusively featured on Summit Entertainment/Chop Shop/Atlantic’s “THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN – PART 1 & 2– ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACKS.”  The track was a multi-format radio favorite, with top 10 airplay at Hot AC and top 25 spins at CHR/Top 40 outlets nationwide.
