Childhood Stop Action “Falls Away” Premieres
London four-piece Childhood have released a surreal stop motion animation video, directed by Alden Volney (previous videos include Bobby Womack and Villagers), for soulful current single “Falls Away.” Noisey premiered the video today, describing it as “a shimmering cut of kinda-comatose indie while the video is a glitchy, stop motion cool.”
Watch the video for “Falls Away” via Noisey here “Falls Away” is the very first taste of the group’s highly anticipated debut album, produced by Dan Carey and set for release on House Anxiety/Marathon Artists this summer. Full details coming very, very soon… Childhood formed at Nottingham University, originally as a two-piece making bedroom demos. The founders Ben Romans-Hopcraft (vocals/guitar) and Leo Dobsen (guitar) initially came together over a shared love for psychedelic and guitar music, later bringing in Daniel Salamons on bass and Jonny Williams on drums. Having just wrapped up a sold-out UK tour with Temples, a Japanese tour with Telegram and taken The Great Escape by storm, Childhood are now gearing up to support Interpol. North American dates are in the works as well. |
