Mike Ragogna: Do you have any advice for new artists?

Gerard Way: Yeah, the thing that we say most, based on personal experience, is that starting a band for the right reasons is really important because the music industry, they say, is doing so poorly that you really have to love doing it and you really should have something to say as a band. Just always make the music that you’d want to hear and the music you feel like the world is missing. Just do it for the right reasons! To me, that’s the recipe for, at the very least, being a band that can get in the van and keep touring. That’s all we’d ever wanted. Anything else was kind of a bonus.
