After the first video chapter, “Love Me,” of Charly Bliss’ Soft Serve trilogy premiered on Refinery29, Blackbook premiered the dreamy “Urge To Purge.” Now, Impose Magazine premieres the epic finale to this trilogy of music videos with the climactic “Strings” which finds our protagonist in a wings eating contest against his long-time foe in order to win the girl of his dreams.

Spencer Fox of Charly Bliss had this to say about the making of this video, “Weirdly enough the most strenuous part of shooting this video was the chicken wings. A few hours into the shoot I got a call from Eva telling me that she was stranded way uptown with about four pounds of raw chicken wings. She eventually was able to return them but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to shake the image of her standing at some corner on the upper west side holding massive bags of uncooked meat. That was really the only hiccup, and the shoot ended up being the best time ever. The dudes at David Blaine’s The Steakhouse were nice enough to let us use their venue to film the video, and all of our friends came to help out and be extras, so it pretty much turned into one big party.”

Charly Bliss’ three track EP Soft Serve is available now. The release had the band teaming up with Philadelphia based producer, Kyle “Slick” Johnson (Modest Mouse, The Hives) to create tracks that combine earworm melodies and distortion caked guitars, toeing the line between super-grimey and saccharine sweet.

In true punk fashion the band has decided to throw expectations out the window and is pairing each EP track with its own music video and comic book. The series of comic books will be released soon, so be sure to keep an eye out!
