D’Angelo’s Second Coming Tour Announced

D’Angelo and The Vanguard will take their mesmerizing and powerful “The Second Coming Tour” back on the road this summer on a series of US tour dates. Kicking off June 7th in Oakland, CA, the 14-city jaunt will make stops in cities including Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia and more. Tickets will go on sale nationwide on May 1 at 10:00 AM local time. The Forest Hills Stadium concert on June 21st is on sale now.

Never Shout Never Hit Vans Warped Main Stage

Alternative pop band Never Shout Never, aka Christofer Drew and his fellow bandmates, will perform on the Main Stage all summer long during this year’s VANS Warped Tour, which kicks off on June 19th in Pomona, CA. NSN is a beloved staple of Warped, joining it in 2010 and 2013. In addition to his Main Stage performances, Drew will host songwriting workshops in partnership with The Entertainment Institute during the tour. He will be talking about his upcoming new album in detail to a limited number of fans who score access to the backstage event each day.

Country Acts Play In Support Of Children’s Hospital

The stars will shine brightly on Wednesday, June 10 as a line-up of Country music legends assemble at the famous Wildhorse Saloon on 2nd Avenue in downtown Nashville to raise funds for The Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Artists confirmed to perform include The Oak Ridge Boys, Mickey Gilley, Larry Gatlin, The Bellamy Brothers, Lorrie Morgan, Eddy Raven, T. Graham Brown, David Frizzell, Restless Heart’s Larry Stewart, Tim Rushlow (formerly of Little Texas) and Exile. Long Island songstress Lisa Matassa, who recently recorded a duets album with each of these performers, will collaborate with various artists throughout the evening.

George Jones Museum To Open

Some of the biggest stars in country music turned out for a red carpet event Thursday, April 23, to commemorate the grand opening of the George Jones Museum, celebrating the life and work of one of the icons of country music. More than 800 people turned out for the gala event.
