Buffy Sainte-Marie Debuts Power… Track With Time

Iconic singer-songwriter, activist, educator, visual artist, and multi-award winner Buffy Sainte-Marie will release her new album Power In The Blood next month on May 12th via True North Records. This bold new LP is her 16th studio album and a reminder that, five decades on, Sainte-Marie is a voice as vital and significant as ever. Earlier today, TIME Magazine premiered the newly re-imagined version of “Not The Lovin’ Kind,” a song which she wrote during “the blacklist years” that originally appeared on her 1972 album Moonshot.

Yukon Blonde Releases On Blonde This June

Yukon Blonde’s new album On Blonde will be released June 16 via Dine Alone Records and is available for pre-order starting today. “It’s a more dynamic and more visceral album than our previous records,” explains frontman Jeff Innes. “We were more ambitious writing On Blonde so it’s sort of ironic that in experimenting we created a more accessible record than ever before.”

DFA1979 Releases “Virgins” From The Physical World

Globally revered and highly influential dance-punk duo Death From Above 1979 release a brand new, creepily compelling video for the track “Virgins” from their critically acclaimed album The Physical World. The visually arresting, provocative video for “Virgins” was directed by Eva Michon. She also directed Life After Death From Above 1979, the feature documentary that captures the band rise, fall out and epically reunite.
