Noah Gundersen’s Carry The Ghost Coming

Carry The Ghost, the second full-length album from acclaimed singer/songwriter Noah Gundersen, is set for release via Dualtone Music on August 21. Gundersen has announced tour dates in support of the new album (See dates below). Gundersen, known for his thoughtful and introspective songs about love, loss, faith and longing, has written 13 new tracks with the underlying realization that we are all the sum of our experiences, whether by choice or by chance. Throughout the new offering, the Seattle native sings about how the acceptance of this as a positive can be liberating, not limiting, if you are looking deep enough.

Galactic Goes Into The Deep July 17th

Seminal New Orleans band Galactic will release their new album, Into the Deep, on July 17 via Provogue Records—part of the Mascot Label Group. The album is produced and arranged by band members Ben Ellman and Robert Mercurio and features collaborations with artists they’ve made connections with over the last 20 years—including Macy Gray, Mavis Staples, JJ Grey, Ryan Montbleau, David Shaw of The Revivalists, Maggie Koerner, Brushy One String and Charm Taylor. Currently on tour, Galactic is playing festivals across the country including sold out shows in their hometown at 2015’s Jazz Fest, Hangout Music Festival, Electric Forest Festival, Wakarusa Music Festival, North Coast Music Festival, Jam Cruise and many more; a 4-night residency at Brooklyn Bowl in New York; and a performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Circuit Des Yeux’s “Do The Dishes” Drops

Circuit des Yeux is Haley Fohr, a young transplant to Chicago from Indiana who makes hauntingly beautiful music driven by her distinctive voice. Rarely do artistic and political intents coalesce so seamlessly as in Circuit des Yeux’s new video for “Do The Dishes,” which was premiered by Jezebel this morning. The clip, Fohr performs basic household chores before collapsing naked on a treadmill during a moment of musical upheaval. The video was directed by Chicago photographer and filmmaker Julia Dratel.

Moonsville Collective Hits Road

Orange County/Los Angeles-based Americana string band Moonsville Collective, known for its traditional mix of old time, folk, country, bluegrass, and rhythm and blues, has announced tour dates this summer. The band will also be releasing a new album in 2015, with a street date to be announced soon. They recorded the forthcoming self-produced album at Ear Witness Studios in Whittier, CA, with Sam Knaak engineering it. Already, the band has been playing a number of the songs on the album live, with fan favorites “Blue Money Grove,” “End of the Line,” and “Rollin’ in Paradise” slated to be on the record.

Starset’s “Halo” Streams On Nerdist

Cinematic rockers Starset have released a new music video today for their song “Halo” exclusively on Nerdist. The video is the next chapter in the narrative that is Starset’s debut album Transmissions. The album presents a glimpse into the technical and creative mind of lead singer, writer and scientist, Dustin Bates. A singer, songwriter and accomplished musician, Bates also boasts serious scientific credentials – as A PhD candidate in electrical engineering from Ohio University, he has done research for the U.S. Air Force and taught at the International Space University.

Miniboone Offers “Wake Up Factory Bouquet”

Ernest Jenning Record Co. is excited to share the video for “Wake Up Factory Bouquet” from Miniboone’s recently released album Bad Sports. This comes after the band revealed the video for “Erasure,” which features members in a shot-for-shot reenactment of one of the most infamous music videos of all time — David Bowie and Mick Jagger’s “Dancing In The Street.” The group also recently premiered their track “Any Other City” via Impose Magazine, who called it “simple, resonant and snarky enough to become a quiet anthem.”
