Cheerleader’s Sunshine… Coming May 19th

Cheerleader’s debut LP The Sunshine of Your Youth will be released May 19 via Bright Antenna Records. The record features songs off the band’s critically acclaimed On Your Side EP as well as never before heard tracks. In addition, the video for the album’s lead single “The Sunshine of Your Youth” premiered. To celebrate the release the band will embark on an extensive tour including SXSW and dates supporting The Wombats.

“My friend Marius Hauge has photographed me a lot in private and as an artist through the years. He had wanted to capture the portrait in motion and asked to shoot me, my drummer Dave Heilman and my bass player Chris Holm while we performed ‘Lucky Guy’. It’s the most stripped down (save for Tim Fain’s multi-faceted string arrangement and performance) and direct song on Please, and I was very thankful to be able to capture the essence of what was a really charged emotional moment for us on stage every night during last fall’s Please tour.
