Lee Ann Womack’s Trouble In Mind Goes Vinyl
Lee Ann Womack wanted to do something special for Record Store Day, something that would strip the music down to its essence. Talking with husband/producer Frank Liddell, they decided to use one voice/one instrument. Calling Mark Knopfler/Steve Earle vet Richard Bennett, who brought several of his vintage guitars, the pair recorded several songs in an afternoon – and picked the best three for Trouble In Mind, a limited edition 12″ vinyl.

Game Of Thrones Mixtape Vol. 2 Coming March 17th
Today, HBO announced the release date of the Catch the Throne: The Mixtape of March 17 along with the list of artists featured on the second installment of the Mixtape, for the Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning series Game of Thrones. Produced by Launch Point Records, the 15-track mixtape features diverse artists representing Game of Thrones families, leveraging themes and highlights from season 4. Mass Appeal Teams With Rockstar Games For The Alchemist
Mass Appeal Records and Rockstar Games, in collaboration with musical artists The Alchemist and Oh No are proud to announce The Alchemist and Oh No Present: Welcome to Los Santos, a genre-spanning collection of new music based on and inspired by the original soundtrack to Grand Theft Auto V. The new music will debut exclusively inside the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V on April 14with a full standalone album to follow on April 21. The first single to be released off the album is titled “Play it Cool” by Gangrene (The Alchemist and Oh No) featuring Samuel T. Herring (from Future Islands) and Earl Sweatshirt.

Jackie Greene Sets Up Back To Birth With Tour
On March 6, roots rocker Jackie Greene kicks off the first leg of his “Forever, I’m A Gonna Wander” tour at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley, CA. Performing select songs from his Yep Roc Records debut, Back To Birth, out August 25, the 12-city run culminates with two performances at SXSW in Austin, TX, and a six-night residency at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, CA. Full list of dates attached. The tour will continue throughout 2015, with additional dates to be announced.

Bright Like The Sun Offers “White Lights”
San Antonio’s Bright Like The Sun are sharing “White Lights,” the first single from the quintet’s massive new self-titled sophomore record.
