The video, which premiered yesterday on Buzzfeed, quickly began amassing millions of views within hours of its premiere.

Laura Marling Introduces “Gurdjieff’s Daughter”

Laura Marling has unveiled the music video for “Gurdjieff’s Daughter.” The track is from her new album Short Movie, which was released on March 23rd through Ribbon Music. “Gurdjieff’s Daughter” was filmed where Laura used to live in East Los Angeles, giving a glimpse into her California life. It includes a few of her friends she met while writing the album in LA, including Rostam Batmanglij from Vampire Weekend, Jonathan Wilson, British singer/songwriter Marika Hackman and British actress Rhian Rees and writer Hanne Steen.

ASCAP Honors KISS And Doobies

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) will present rock heavyweights KISS with the prestigious ASCAP Founders Award at its 32nd annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards on April 29th in Hollywood. The event, which celebrates the songwriters and publishers of ASCAP’s most performed pop songs of 2014, will also honor The Doobie Brothers with the ASCAP Voice of Music Award and St. Vincent with ASCAP’s Vanguard Award. Steve Earle’s Camp Copperhead Revisited

This summer, July 7–11, 2015, Steve Earle will don his teaching cap once more to present his most refined and in-depth course yet: Camp Copperhead.
