Praise for Melophobia:
“Melophobia may mean ‘fear of music,’ but there’s nothing to be afraid of: Its glorious chaos makes for thrilling listening.” – USA Today
“The album fortifies its scrappy riffs with more lavish textures, drawing upon instruments that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Tom Waits record.” – Consequence of Sound
“Songwriting smarts and sophisticated arrangement cement Cage The Elephant’s status as one of today’s most relevant pop-smiths.” – Drum! Magazine
“Melophobia is a glitter-flecked triumph of banging power pop. Propulsive choruses, a musical cacophony that whirls and a melodic sense that secedes nothing to the rhythms, the scrappy quintet’s third album is a focused, frenzied affair.” – Paste
“Melophobia is all gooes sonority, one fuzzy pop nuggest bumping against the other like bubbles in a screen saver.” – Electronic Musician
“sexy shimmy and seductive pshychedelia” – People
