The Best Fest, sponsored by Jameson Irish Whiskey, is proud to announce the first-ever Brian Fest: A Night to Celebrate the Music of Brian Wilson, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and legendary founding member of The Beach Boys.  This special concert event will take place on March 30th at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.  An incredible line up of artists has come together to pay tribute to Brian through performances of their favorite Wilson-penned classics. As always, the Best Fest’s acclaimed Cabin Down Below Band will host the illustrious cast of musicians.  Brian Wilson will make a special guest appearance at the show.

Confirmed performers include Norah Jones, Brandon Flowers, Ann Wilson of Heart, Wayne Coyne & Steve Drozd of The Flaming Lips, Devendra Banhart, M. Ward, Boz Scaggs, Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast, Joy Williams, Local Natives, Sebu Simonian of Capital Cities, Doyle Bramhall II, Al Jardine, Wilson Phillips, Karen Elson, Jade Castrinos, Adam Busch & Danny Masterson, Gingger Shankar, a special appearance by Brian Wilson, and many, many more surprises.

The Fests started in the same New York community of bartenders, musicians, and craftsmen that adopted Jameson as their drink of choice. The Best Fest and Jameson forged a relationship based on similar values, shared appreciation and interest in spreading the community spirit.

To help musicians and their communities, Jameson has committed to providing resources and support via The Jameson® Neighborhood Fund. This year’s Brian Fest is benefiting the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund with ticket sale proceeds going to the charity. Sweet Relief was the natural choice for the Jameson Neighborhood Fund charity for LA as they provide support to all types of career musicians who are in times of need.

Brian Fest coincides with the release of Wilson’s 11th solo studio album, No Pier Pressure, and marks his historic return to Capitol Records, his original label home with The Beach Boys.  To be released April 7th, the album is available now for preorder in standard 13-track and deluxe 16-track editions, each in CD and digital formats, as well as a 16-track 2LP edition on 180-gram vinyl.  For the No Pier Pressure sessions at Hollywood’s Ocean Way Studios, Wilson reunited with longtime collaborator Joe Thomas, and was joined by talented musicians he personally invited to record with him, including his former Beach Boys bandmates Al Jardine, David Marks and Blondie Chaplin, Kacey Musgraves, fun.’s Nate Ruess, She & Him’s Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward, Peter Hollens, Capital Cities’ Sebu Simonian, and trumpet master Mark Isham, as well as session all-stars Don Was, Jim Keltner, Dean Parks, and Kenny Aronoff.  Members of Wilson’s longtime touring band, including Scott Bennett, Paul Mertens, Darian Sahanaja, and Probyn Gregory also participated in the sessions, along with Matt Jardine, son of Al Jardine, and former bandmate Jeffrey Foskett.
