Brent Walsh’s 7 Out November 10th

BRENT WALSH OF I THE MIGHTY
PREMIERES NEW SONG
“RIDE THE AIR” VIA INDIE SHUFFLE
DEBUT SOLO ALBUM ‘7’
OUT NOVEMBER 10
ON EQUAL VISION RECORDS

Brent Walsh of I the Mighty is now premiering “Ride The Air” – the third track to debut from his forthcoming solo album, 7. The song can be streamed now via Indie Shuffle.

“‘Ride the Air’ is somewhat of a musical oddity for me; it’s cute. I wrote the song somewhere back around 2007 when I became interested in this girl Yvette Young,” shares Walsh. “Her sheer talent infatuated me. She was one of the most unique and naturally gifted artists I had ever met, not to mention she could sing, play violin and absolutely killed on guitar and piano. At the time, my infatuation was about 20 days deep. She was living in LA and was 20 days away from coming and staying with me for the first time. Through my excitement, this cute little jazzy song was born. Things didn’t work out romantically between Yvette and I, though we’re still friends and I strongly encourage anyone to check her out, especially if you want to listen to some ridiculously proggy guitar riffs.”

Walsh also recently released “Default World” – a track inspired by his experience at Burning Man, as well as a music video for “Free” – a stunning, piano driven ballad with lush harmonies – which can be seen now at Youtube.com/equalvision. All three songs are now available as instant grat tracks through MerchNOW and digital retailers such as iTunes.

7, which will be released on November 10 via Equal Vision Records, was recorded with producer Jon Devoto of The Matches. A video introduction to the album, featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of Walsh recording the album, can also be found HERE.

An album release show will take place on November 4 at Leo’s Music Club in Oakland, CA. Supporting Walsh will be Fortress Social Club (ft. Shawn Harris) and Mr. Kind (ft. Jon Devoto).
