Brandon Flowers Offers The Desired Effect And Tour
BRANDON FLOWERS ANNOUNCES NEW HEADLINING NORTH AMERICAN TOUR
New Album The Desired Effect Out May 19th
Brandon Flowers is thrilled to announce brand new headlining North American show dates – see below for full tour listing. The tour, which kicks off at the end of July, is in celebration of The Killers frontman’s release of his highly anticipated, second solo album The Desired Effect (out 5/19 via Island Records). Fans who preorder the album via Flower’s online store – HERE – will receive special access to purchase tickets early available from 4/22. Fans who preorder the limited edition deluxe version of the album will also gain access to the ticket pre-sale, plus receive two special bonus tracks: “The Desired Effect” and “Btwn Me ‘N U” – this is not available in any other U.S. digital or physical format and will be delivered digitally with the album. The limited edition deluxe version of the LP will be autographed by Flowers. All preorders will include an instant grat track of the newly released and heart-warming song “Still Want You”. General on sale for tickets will be available from Friday, 4/24.
The Desired Effect is the successor to Flowers’ chart topping 2010 debut solo album, Flamingo. The album was recorded with the producer Ariel Rechtshaid (Haim, Vampire Weekend, Charli XCX), at Battle Born Studios in Las Vegas and Heavy Duty and Vox Studios in Los Angeles. Flowers is joined by a stellar cast of iconic musicians, including Bruce Hornsby, Ethan Farmer, Tony Levin, Kenny Aronoff, The Dirty Projectors’ Angel Deradoorian and Joey Waronker. Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant joins for a brief drive-by in the Bronski Beat-sampling smash-hit-in-waiting, “I Can Change”, while Flowers’ Killers compadre, Ronnie Vannucci Jr, and Haim singer/guitarist, Danielle Haim, both guest on drums.
