Botnek Brings “Grindhouse”
Botnek Release Their Halloween Secret Weapon “Grindhouse”
with Remix From Steve Aoki
Out Today on Dim Mak Records
Get ready to sleep with one eye open because Canadian duo Botnek have unveiled their super-spooky halloween weapon “Grindhouse,” and it might give you nightmares. Taking cues from the iconic horror movie phenomenon of the same name, “Grindhouse” entices listeners with an eerie keyboard lead before unleashing its grungy chainsaw build and assaulting lazer-blast breakdown. About the tune Botnek warns, “The track is literally about chainsaws and nightmares. Absolutely NSFW, or even clubs. Earplugs and 18+ suggested.”
As a special bonus, Dim Mak boss Steve Aoki has crafted a remix to accompany the release, building it into even more of a frenzy and adding a bit of his unique mainroom electro flavor.
“Grindhouse” is only the most recent offering in a series of successful releases from the Canadian duo. 2014 has seen Botnek shred charts with their Beatport #1 remix of “#SELFIE,” preceded by their heavy-hitting collaboration “Vikings” with 3LAU, which received massive support from Jack U, Zedd, Aoki, Tiesto, Sander Van Doorn, R3hab, Borgore, and Adventure Club. The duo have also made appearances at variety of festivals including EDC Las Vegas and TomorrowWorld as well as DJ gigs at iconic venues like Create in Los Angeles, Echostage in Washington D.C., Pacha in Ibiza and Razzmatazz in Barcelona. Look out for upcoming appearances at Freaknight and Hard Day of the Dead, as well as on the Kill The Noise tour where they will be supporting.
