BONNAROO MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES FOOD AND DRINK LINEUP:
HAMAGEDDON, BACONLAND, GASTROPOD DINER, & BONNAROOTS COMMUNITY DINNERS TO DEBUT
FOOD TRUCK OASIS AND BROO’ERS FESTIVAL TO RETURN
May 29, 2014 – Manchester, TN – Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, taking place June 12-15, 2014, announces a food and drink lineup with new, wildly creative culinary experiences such as Hamageddon, BaconLand, Gastropod Diner and Bonnaroots Community Dinners. Over 70 vendors along with the much loved Food Truck Oasis and Broo’ers Festival will also return to heighten the excitement of the four-day festival’s music and comedy lineup, which is marked by Elton John, Kanye West, Jack White, Lionel Richie, Vampire Weekend, The Avett Brothers, Phoenix, Skrillex, Craig Robinson & The Nasty Delicious, Taran Killam, and Hannibal Buress. With sensitivity to those with dietary restrictions and concerns, Bonnaroo will also be noting dietary qualifications for food items online and expanding its vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Visit www.bonnaroo.com for more information. Hamaggedon & BaconLand: Making bacon an art form are Hamageddon and BaconLand. Hamaggedon is an art installation in the form of a steel pig sculpture named Henri who weighs in at 4,000 pounds and is 22-feet long, nose to tail. Henri primes fans for his neighbor, BaconLand, where they will find a menu of pork indulgences like Bacon Flights from around the U.S., ranging from Wellshire Farms’ Thick Sliced, Dry Rubbed, Peppered Bacon out of New Hampshire toBurgers’ Smokehouse’s Applewood Country Bacon from Missouri. Locally based and nationally acclaimed Alan Benton’s Hickory Smoked Tennessee Bacon will be found among the Bacon Flight menu as well as between BLTs, Grilled Cheeses and Egg Sandwiches. Those who pay with PayPal in BaconLand will receive $10 off. Both Hamageddon and BaconLand are situated near the Broo’ers Festival. gastroPod Diner: Miami’s gastroPod returns to Bonnaroo with an awe-inspiring concept. This year, in lieu of their 1960s airstream typically found in Bonnaroo’s Food Truck Oasis, gastroPod will debut a mobile dining pod made from a shipping container and complete with a deck and outdoor seating. Chef/Owner Jeremiah Bullfrog, who notably staged at El Bulli in Spain and is also rapper Rick Ross’ personal chef, is creating a menu that plays on the 20th anniversary of Pulp Fiction with menu items like Royale With Cheese (a quarter pounder), The Big Kahuna (burnt to a crisp or bloody as hell), Fries with Mayo, Gourmet Coffee, and Five Dollar Shakes. gastroPod Diner will be located by Bonnaroo’s Cinema Tent where fans will find non-stop entertainment in the form of a Pulp Fiction quote-a-long, unreleased independents, mind-bending documentaries, and exciting appearances from the likes of the Farrelly Brothers and David Wain. Bonnaroots and Sustainable Eating: In partnership with renowned grassroots organizations Oxfam America and Eat for Equity, Bonnaroo launches Bonnaroots Community Dinners for the first time this 2014. Yes, Bonnaroo is hosting farm-to-table dinners under the Tennessee stars with locally-sourced, four-course communal dinners. The atmosphere will be enhanced by surprise mystery guest appearances and 100% of the proceeds will go to Oxfam America and Eat for Equity. The Southern heritage meals feature local and organic foods with each course coming from within 100 miles, if not from the Bonnaroo Victory Garden just steps away.Dinners accommodate 100-people per seating and will take place throughout the weekend in Planet Roo, an eco and social-activism village dedicated to promoting a socially responsible lifestyle. Highly popular, Bonnaroots sold out within days of its announcement, but sustainable-minded fans can still check out the Bonnaroo Learning Garden in Planet Roo to learn about sustainable eating and how to grow their own garden, as well as The Solar Café, a mobile cafe using solar panels as its energy source, found within the festival grounds. The Food Truck Oasis: The Bonnaroo Food Truck Oasis returns for its fourth year with eight food trucks serving up the best of Southern bites. There are four newcomers this year, Bulls BBQ, Grazing Here, Rolling Oven and The Big Cheese, along with four returning favorites. The Food Truck Oasis is found on the west side of Centeroo, between “This Tent” and Splash-A-Roo.

Roti Rolls (Charleston, South Carolina) with seasonal fusion food that is Asian, Indian, Caribbean, Latin, and Southern inspired
Savory & Sweet (Knoxville, Tennessee) with gourmet Southwestern cuisine using fresh seasonal ingredients in dishes like Fried Avocado Tacos, Jumpin’ Java Pork Tacos, Cuban Beef Tacos, Nachos, and Deep-fried Cheesecakes
The Big Cheese* (Arlington, Virginia) with gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches made with all-natural ingredients and artisanal bread and cheeses
The Cracked Truck (Urbana, Illinois) serving unique breakfast sandwiches like the Goy Vey with bacon, salami and sweet n’ spicy cream cheese and the Vegasm, a vegetarian alternative with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, and garlic basil pesto
In addition to Hamageddon, BaconLand, gastropod Diner, Bonnaroots Community Dinners and Food Truck Oasis, fans will find over 70 vendors throughout the farm. Highlights include newcomers like 99 Potatoes, a pop-up breakfast bar with Vegan & Gluten-free Veggie Burgers and Ginger Maté Limeade, Puffs of Doom, offering a twist on the traditional cream puff with conceptual flavors like Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate and Honey Apple Goat Cheese as well as vegan and gluten-free flavors, alongside Tennessee favorites like Prater’s BBQ, returning for its thirteenth year and voted #1 in Rolling Stone’s Insider Guide to Bonnaroo.
Broo’ers Festival: Now in its twelfth year, the Bonnaroo Broo’ers Festival returns with a diverse lineup of 25 standout breweries from across the country. Housed under one tent, beer-lovers will find an extensive collection of American craft brews. Outside the tent, guests find picnic tables and shady trees where they can sip beers and take in performances on the “Which Stage.” Broo’ers Univerity, located in the tent adjacent to the Broo’ers Festival, will hold various seminars and discussions throughout the weekend that are dedicated to the art and awesomeness of beer.
