Black Stone Cherry To Release New Album, Magic Mountain

‘MAGIC MOUNTAIN’ ARRIVES ON MAY 6TH

New York, NY (April 4, 2014) – Roadrunner Records recording group Black Stone Cherry has announced the release of their eagerly awaited new album,‘MAGIC MOUNTAIN’ which arrives everywhere on May 6th.Produced by Joe Barresi (Queens of the Stone Age, Soundgarden), ‘MAGIC MOUNTAIN’ will be heralded by the first single, “Me and Mary Jane,” set to impact multi-format rock radio outlets nationwide in mid-February.

Black Stone Cherry commented on the making of ‘MAGIC MOUNTAIN’ stating, “Not since before our first album have we felt the freedom and confidence that we felt while writing and recording this album. After touring the world behind three previous albums that we are extremely proud of, we feel this album best captures the live energy, honesty and vibe that encompasses our true musicianship.”

Known around the world as an electrifying live act, Black Stone Cherry will hit the road hard in support of ‘MAGIC MOUNTAIN,’ including a string of dates supporting Seether which kick off April 22nd at The Varsity Theatre in Baton Rouge, LA. In the meantime, the Kentucky-based band will introduce the album to their many fans in the United Kingdom via a series of intimate – and already sold out – live performances dubbed “The Southern Hospitality Tour.” Set for late February/early March, the dates will see Black Stone Cherry creating each evening’s set list from a list of fan requests, guaranteeing every night’s performance will be completely unique.

Black Stone Cherry’s fourth studio album, ‘MAGIC MOUNTAIN’ sees the band continuing to master their sound which has earned them legions of fans around the world, with sales now in excess of 650,000. In the UK, Black Stone Cherry have proven a phenomenon, topping the Rock Albums chart with both 2008’s‘FOLKLORE AND SUPERSTITION’ and 2011’s ‘BETWEEN THE DEVIL & THE DEEP BLUE SEA’ receiving silver sales certification from the BPI (British Phonographic Industry).

Here at home, Black Stone Cherry are certifiable rock icons thanks to relentless touring and a long string of singles, including the top 10 Mainstream Rock smash, “In My Blood.” Furthermore, Black Stone Cherry penned a song for the one and only Lynryd Skynyrd’s most recent album and country duo Florida Georgia Line, whose version of “Stay” (originally found on ‘BETWEEN THE DEVIL & THE DEEP BLUE SEA’) spent four consecutive weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and is currently in Top 5.

Black Stone Cherry has spent much of its life on the road, touring alongside the likes of Chickenfoot, Nickelback, Kid Rock, Def Leppard, Alter Bridge, Motörhead, and the aforementioned Lynryd Skynyrd. Furthermore, the band has made numerous US and European festival appearances, including a recent headline slot at UK’s Download Festival.
