The Belle Sounds’ Black Stone Arrives September 9th

The Belle Sounds Alluring New EP Black Stone
Out Next Week – 9/09

“The follow-up to a sensational debut, the new Black Stone EP suggests that the excellence evidenced in that initial outing was no fluke.” —Lee Zimmerman – No Depression

Fresh off the heals of their 2013 eponymous debut, The Belle Sounds, are back with a new EP Black Stone, set for independent release on September 9. While they are comparable to Fleetwood Mac, The Weepies, and The Shins, The Belle Sounds proudly maintain a unique sound that is befitting for people of all ages. Black Stone showcases enchanting melodies, shimmering guitar work, and a newly established collaborative effort in songwriting, that will stick with the listener long after the music has stopped.

While frontrunner and co-creator of the band, Noëlle Hampton, is typically the chief songwriter, the fresh collaboration with band members on Black Stone provided her with a chance to expand The Belle Sounds creative consciousness. The EP’s first single, “The Siren”, which was the bands first song written together, is influenced by the classic novel “Fahrenheit 451” and acts as a warning against allowing technology and noise to control our lives and keeping us from finding peace. The upbeat song “Golden Boy”, inspired by the hit show “Dexter”, has dark lyrical undertones accompanied by spooky synth to give it an ominous feeling. Remaining on the EP is a slew of songs, each one dynamic and memorable, rich with harmonic bliss, taking listeners on a journey they are bound to love.
