The Beatles Get Emmy Nods

“THE BEATLES: THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED AMERICA — A GRAMMY® SALUTE” AND 56TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS® RECEIVE EIGHT TOTAL EMMY® AWARD NOMINATIONS

Beatles Special Recognized with Six Nods and Music’s Biggest Night® Receives Two

“The Beatles: The Night That Changed America — A GRAMMY® Salute” has received six Emmy® Award nominations, and the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards® telecast has received two in recognition of outstanding production excellence. Nominations were announced today by the Television Academy at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood, Calif. The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Monday, Aug. 25, and will be broadcast on NBC.

The six Emmy nominations for “The Beatles: The Night That Changed America — A GRAMMY Salute” include:

* Outstanding Variety Special
* Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special
* Outstanding Directing For A Variety Special
* Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction For A Variety Special
* Outstanding Music Direction
* Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Variety Series Or Special

The two GRAMMY telecast nominations are for:
* Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction For A Variety Special
* Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Variety Series Or Special

The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards was produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures for The Recording Academy. Ken Ehrlich was executive producer, and Louis J. Horvitz was the director. David Wild and Ken Ehrlich were the writers. “The Beatles: The Night That Changed America — A GRAMMY Salute” was produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures. Ken Ehrlich was executive producer, Rac Clark was co-executive producer, Gregg Gelfand was director, and David Wild and Ken Ehrlich were the writers.
