Bear’s Den Plays Bonnaroo And Lollapalooza

U.K. trio Bear’s Den, who toured extensively this past year including a sold out European tour, has confirmed new North American tour dates. The band will appear at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and the Squamish Valley Music Festival in Canada. Tickets are on sale May 1 at: bearsdenmusic.co.uk.

In addition, the band is nominated for a 2015 Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically for their song “Above the Clouds of Pompeii” off their acclaimed debut LP Islands.  They are nominated alongside notable acts Ben Howard and Hozier.

Islands was produced by regular collaborator Ian Grimble (Travis, Daughter, Manic Street Preachers) and includes tracks off the band’s 2013 EP Agape (ag-ah’-pay) as well as new, never-before recorded songs. In addition, the video for “Agape” is streaming worldwide at VEVO.

Andrew Davie (vocals, guitar), Joey Haynes (vocals, banjo) and Jones make up Bear’s Den. The London-based trio played music in various incarnations before officially forming the band in 2012. They developed a cult following in their short existence as a result of their writing, harmonies, D.I.Y. approach with custom hand-stamped CDs and extensive worldwide touring. It was only after finding their identity on the road that the band focused their attention on studio recordings.
