Bear Den Offers “Her Tears”

BEAR’S DEN PREMIERES NEW TRACK “HER TEARS” WITH LIVE SESSION, FOR THE WILD HONEY PIE, DEBUT FULL-LENGTH ISLANDS OUT NOW, BAND ON SOLD OUT EUROPEAN TOUR

“Her Tears,” a new track from U.K trio Bears Den is premiering as part of their two-song Buzzsession at The Wild Honey Pie. The band also performed “Above the Clouds of Pompeii” off their critically acclaimed debut LP Islands, released last year on Communion Records.

In addition, their new video for their song “Agape” is streaming worldwide at VEVO.

Islands continues to receive widespread critical acclaim:

“Atmospheric—sort of folk, sort of synth-y, sort of indie rock”—GQ

“It’s classic folk married with modern mannerisms”—Relix

“Even though Bear’s Den maintains classic musical values, that doesn’t mean their work is stuck in the past. With a healthy dose of synth, ivory melodies, reversed guitar loops, and strong drumlines, the band is producing a new, infectious post-modern take on folk.”—NYLON

“Making a big splash”—Teen Vogue

“The perfect blend of sorrow and strength.”—CMT

“Band You Need To See”—Buzzfeed

“Majestic.”—Paste

Islands was produced by regular collaborator Ian Grimble (Travis, Daughter, Manic Street Preachers) and includes tracks off the band’s 2013 EP Agape (ag-ah’-pay) as well as new, never-before recorded songs.

Andrew Davie (vocals, guitar), Joey Haynes (vocals, banjo) and Jones make up Bear’s Den. The London-based trio played music in various incarnations before officially forming the band in 2012. They developed a cult following in their short existence as a result of their writing, harmonies, D.I.Y. approach with custom hand-stamped CDs and extensive worldwide touring. It was only after finding their identity on the road that the band focused their attention on studio recordings.
