U.K. band Bastille – introduced Stateside last summer with intimate, sold-out shows at Los Angeles’ Troubadour and San Francisco’s Popscene – will be playing numerous arenas on its fall 2014 North American tour. In the past year, the band has completed three sold-out runs here and scored a multi-format smash hit with its debut single, “Pompeii,” which has sold nearly three million downloads.
The band’s October outing will kick off on October 11 at the Patriot Center outside Washington, DC. It will include shows at Canada’s two largest indoor arenas – Montreal’s Bell Centre (October 14) and Toronto’s Air Canada Centre (October 15) – and an evening at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati (October 17).

The band, which is currently on tour in the U.S., will perform on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on June 3. Bastille will play the Hangout Beach Music & Arts Festival (May 18), Boston Calling (May 25), the KROQ-LA Weenie Roast (May 31) and the Governors Ball Music Festival (June 6). Due to scheduling conflicts, the band’s May 30 show at the Madison Theater in Covington, KY has been rescheduled for October 17 at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati. Ticketholders of the May 30th show may exchange their current ticket for a premium ticket for the new date prior to 10:00 p.m. on May 15. Otherwise, they may receive a refund at the point of purchase. Please note that tickets purchased at the Madison Theater box office must be exchanged or refunded at the U.S. Bank Arena box office.
Bad Blood, Bastille’s debut album, entered the albums chart at No. 1 in the U.K., where it closed out 2013 as the biggest selling debut album and the biggest selling digital album. It has sold more than 750,000 units in the U.S. The band, which was named an MTV 2014 “Artist to Watch,” has received a BRIT Award (British Breakthrough Act) and a Woodie Award (Best Cover).
“Pompeii” topped Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart for four straight weeks and the Adult Alternative Songs chart for two weeks. It has spent more than 35 weeks on The Hot 100, where it’s currently in the Top 10. The track is certified 4x Platinum in Australia and New Zealand, double Platinum in the U.S. and Italy and Platinum in the U.K. and Belgium.
