Gritty, infectious and unapologetic rock band Badflower premiere their official music video for “Soap” on Loudwire. The video features the explosive energy one can expect from a Badflower show while showcasing the band’s catchy hooks and heavy guitar riffs. The track is also now available on iTunes.

“‘Soap’ is inspired by a social experiment I saw online,” says singer/songwriter Josh Katz. “It followed a girl around the city and recorded multiple men cat calling her, and I thought it was interesting how something so insulting could be socially acceptable. The song is an oversimplification of the culture of male dominance and disrespectful behavior. I wrote the song from the perspective of that type of character – I enjoy writing about bizarre human tendencies, especially ones I don’t agree with or understand.”

Badflower has been a staple in the LA rock scene for the past 2 years and their track “Heroin” secured the #1 spot on KROQs Locals Only after only one week. It was the band’s live performance that had Hundred Handed (Coheed and Cambria, Nahko, Stars in Stereo, Golden Hippie) wanting to sign them immediately.

“There is that moment when you go to check out a band for the first time and you walk away thinking you have to be involved,” says David Bason, President of Hundred Handed. “As soon as I saw Badflower live, I was all in.”

Badflower is finishing their upcoming debut EP slated for release later this year and features their signature sound: snaky, psychedelic guitar riffs, often building to powerful rock rhythms over the course of a song.
