Diamond Rugs are releasing their second record, Cosmetics (Sycamore Records/Thirty Tigers/RED), today. This rowdy follow-up to their 2012 self-titled debut that garnered rave reviews and a much-talked about performance on the Late Show with David Letterman, still features the incomparable collaboration of John McCauley (Deer Tick), Robbie Crowell (Deer Tick), Ian Saint Pé (ex-Black Lips guitarist), Steve Berlin (Los Lobos), T. Hardy Morris (Dead Confederate) and Bryan Dufresne (Six Finger Satellite). The record was recorded in Nashville, TN, at Playground Sound Studio and was produced by Adam Landry and Justin Collins. The band is sharing a new song from the album, “THUNK,” to celebrate its release.
