Diamond Rugs’ Cosmetics Arrives

Diamond Rugs are releasing their second record, Cosmetics (Sycamore Records/Thirty Tigers/RED), today. This rowdy follow-up to their 2012 self-titled debut that garnered rave reviews and a much-talked about performance on the Late Show with David Letterman, still features the incomparable collaboration of John McCauley (Deer Tick), Robbie Crowell (Deer Tick), Ian Saint Pé (ex-Black Lips guitarist), Steve Berlin (Los Lobos), T. Hardy Morris (Dead Confederate) and Bryan Dufresne (Six Finger Satellite). The record was recorded in Nashville, TN, at Playground Sound Studio and was produced by Adam Landry and Justin Collins. The band is sharing a new song from the album, “THUNK,” to celebrate its release.

Passion Pit’s Kindred Coming

In celebration of the release of their new album Kindred, out April 21, Passion Pit will tour North America this spring, playing intimate venues in the U.S. and Canada. The band will make stops including SXSW, Buku and Big Guava Music Festivals, Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre, two nights at Washington D.C.’s 9:30 Club and many more. Sam Smith Announces Tour

Capitol Records recording artist Sam Smith will return to North America this summer for his second arena/theatre tour of 2015. The month-long run will kick off on July 18 at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, NC and will include concerts at Miami’s American Airlines Arena (July 20) and Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre (August 4).
