Hot Chip To Bring Why Make Sense?

Following Hot Chip’s headline performance at The BBC 6 Music Festival over the weekend, the band is now revealing news about the artwork for their forthcoming sixth album, Why Make Sense?. Employing a never-before used bespoke printing technique, each album will come in one of 501 different colors. Combined with subtle variations of the design, this means that EVERY copy of the album, on both CD and LP, will feature completely unique artwork.

Seth Glier’s If I Could Change One Thing Coming

Singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and activist Seth Glier has been consistently honing his craft over the course of his young career, leading up to the April 7th release of his latest album, If I Could Change One Thing (MPress). Glier has hit the road in advance of If I Could Change One Thing with three dates with American Idol’s Crystal Bowersox beginning on February 2nd in Nashville, TN. He will then take his headline show on the road starting February 6th in Winston Salem, NC.

Humans To Offer Noontide

Vancouver’s indie-electronic duo, HUMANS, celebrate the release of their debut album, Noontide, via Hybridity Music. Comprised of producers Robbie Slade and Peter Ricq, the duo’s sound has been called infectious, smartly crafted, and a force live. Produced by Nik Kozub of Shout Out Out Out Out, Noontide is a showcase of their innovative mix of heavy electronics with modern pop sensibilities. The album is carefully constructed, building upon the band’s restless aesthetic experimentation. Bad Company Deluxes Coming

Bad Company has influenced bands from Bon Jovi to Five Finger Death Punch, who recently had a #1 hit with their cover of the song “Bad Company.” They have also helped shaped the sound of an entire rock era with iconic powerhouse rock anthems “Can’t Get Enough,” “Rock Steady,” along with the ever popular ballads “Ready for Love,” “Seagull,” and Grammy®-nominated “Feel Like Makin’ Love.” The British rockers recently unearthed the original multi-track tapes from their first two albums and discovered previously unreleased tracks, takes, and mixes from those sessions.

Robert Glaser To Release Covered

Ten years after making his Blue Note debut, and following two GRAMMY-winning volumes of his critically and commercially successful R&B-oriented Black Radio albums, Robert Glasper has announced a return to his acclaimed acoustic jazz trio for his new album, Covered (The Robert Glasper Trio recorded live at Capitol Studios), which will be released June 16 on Blue Note Records. The trio, featuring Vicente Archer on bass and Damion Reid on drums, begins a week-long run tonight at the famed Village Vanguard in New York City to preview the album.

The Avett Brothers To Play Sea Island

Sea Island Resort in Georgia is bringing together the best music and food south of the Mason-Dixon for the inaugural Southern Grown Festival, taking place June 19-21, 2015. The three-day festival, filled with brunches, barbeque and bourbon, pays homage to the distinctive culture of America’s South at one of the finest grand dame resorts of the region. Southern Grown will feature a weekend full of events and classes led by more than a dozen award-winning chefs and artisans from Louisiana to Kentucky, and will culminate with an oceanfront performance by North Carolina folk-rock band The Avett Brothers.
