Today, Clearwater’s Great Hudson River Revival, also referred to as The Clearwater Festival and founded by Pete Seeger, announces its initial lineup of artists set to perform on the banks of the Hudson River at beautiful Croton Point Park, Croton-On-Hudson, New York on June 20-21, 2015. The Clearwater Festival is the country’s oldest and largest music and environmental festival, bringing together major musical acts and Clearwater’s own brand of green activism for a unique weekend every June. Seeger started the festival over 40 years ago as an annual fundraiser for Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, an environmental organization he founded.

He has flirted with electro-jazz cool on Paris Blue (2004); delved into 70s-tinged “smooth jazz” accents and grooves on Now (2006); and gone “arty” urban chic on the subtly mixed Metropolitan (2009).
