Elle King’s “Catch…” In Hot Pursuit

Having just released her critically acclaimed debut album LOVE STUFF in February, pop, blues, and rock’n’roll singer Elle King releases a brand new track entitled “Catch Us If You Can” which is featured in the upcoming film Hot Pursuit starring Reese Witherspoon and Sofía Vergara, in theaters May 8th. “Catch Us If You Can” is available everywhere now. Produced by David Bassett who also worked on Elle King’s debut album, the song was written by Grammy Award-winning artist, Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum along with Charlie Peacock, Sara Chrenow and Todd Clark.

AXS Renews The X Factor UK

AXS TV, cable’s premier music entertainment channel, has renewed the hugely successful global hit The X Factor UK for a second consecutive year. The network will continue as the official U.S. broadcast home for the 12th season of the signature program, premiering in the fall on AXS TV. The agreement, which features a 34-episode order, was signed with FremantleMedia International (FMI) and Syco Entertainment. The X Factor UK was created by Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and is co-produced by Syco Entertainment and Thames TV (part of FremantleMedia UK). AXS TV is the first American television network to air the legendary UK version of the show.

Creative Adult’s Ring Around The Room Streams

The North Bay’s Creative Adult have unleashed the full EP stream of Ring Around The Room via Stereogum. Due out on Record Store Day — Saturday, April 18th at official RSD outlets and via Run For Cover Records’ store and open-house — Ring Around The Room continues to expand the band’s corrosive sound, soaring to new heights while exploring the depths of blistering post-punk via layers of atmospheric influenced shoegaze, reckless noise punk, and harsh stampeding rhythms. Wallowing in the darkness and writhing with despair, the EP is hypnotic and explosive, luring you into a deceptive calm before erupting in a fit of distortion. Creative Adult vocalist Scott Phillips described the EP as an exploration of “total isolation, distorted exploration, and the acknowledgement of light in spite of how things seem on the surface” before adding “Creative Adult does not vote.”

Olivia Chaney To Release The Longest River

London-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Olivia Chaney makes her album debut with The Longest River, available April 28 on Nonesuch Records. Chaney, a recent BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards double nominee, co-produced the album at the legendary RAK Studios in London with Leo Abrahams (guitarist, film composer, and Brian Eno collaborator). The record was engineered by esteemed veteran Jerry Boys (Buena Vista Social Club, Sandy Denny) and includes Chaney’s longtime collaborators, musicians Oliver Coates, Jordan Hunt, and Leo Taylor.

Nneka To Tour My Fairy Tales

Nneka, the German Nigerian soul singer/songwriter and actress, confirms summer tour dates in support of her forthcoming studio album My Fairy Tales, out May 26 on Bushqueen Music. Nneka recently appeared on BBC News to speak about the new album and perform the track “My Love, My Love.” Watch and listen HERE. The song is available via Soundcloud HERE. Of the track, Nneka says “It’s about connecting with a universal and/or godly love, not being pessimistic and finding beauty in the little things despite all the calamity and madness in the world.” A live version can also be heard HERE from Nneka’s recent sold out concert in Paris at Le Bataclan.
