The Flaming Lips Meets Howard Stern Meets The Beatles

The lunatics are taking over the asylum! Howard Stern is surrendering his SiriusXM radio studio to THE FLAMING LIPS on Friday, April 24th. Portlandia star Fred Armisen will host the show, which will feature the Lips doing songs from their Sgt. Pokey LaFarge Tours For Something In The Water

Pokey LaFarge’s Something In The Water, which was released April 7 on Rounder, is charming audiences and critics around the world. LaFarge’s tour of New Zealand and Australia, which saw the band play to packed houses on every date of the tour, was a smashing success. Steve McCabe of New Zealand’s 13th Floor applauded the band’s “wildly, infectiously, exuberantly catchy songs,” noting that LaFarge “sang with power and intensity, leading a band that knew exactly what he needed.” The Sydney Morning Herald’s Bernard Zuel proclaimed it “good-time music that would make you forget for an hour or so the grimness of daily life.”

Melissa Etheridge To Tour With Blondie And Joan Jett

Oscar and Grammy Award winning artist Melissa Etheridge will hit the road this summer on a US tour making stops in over 50 cities nationwide. Melissa’s summer tour schedule is comprised of a mixture of solo dates, full band gigs, festival stops as well as 10 co-headline dates with Blondie; kicking off on June 10th at the Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, TN and concluding in Hyannis, MA on August 30th. Melissa Etheridge will be performing songs off her 13th studio album, This Is M.E., including “Take My Number,” “Monster,” and “A Little Bit of Me,” plus classic hits like “Come To My Window,” “I’m The Only One” and “Bring Me Some Water.”
